Melbourne’s GPO celebrates Winter with a bold fashion experiment -We (Gloss Creative) in collaboration with Fabio Ongarato Design, created a series of curious carts that house a fashion infused experiment around this seasons bold colour blocking and clashing prints. These carts are located throughout the Melbourn’es GPO so head on down and check them out.

‘Dance me to the end of love’

We are delighted to have been apart of this wonderful wedding… this was a celebration of plenty; an amazing couple, their loving family and friends all together at a location like no other.

We filled the beautiful aged spaces with romantic flowers and garlands abound, candle lit tables, gold bunting reflecting the evening glow, all of which was amplified by the incredible surrounds of Bangalow Showgrounds.

“New Age Harvest”

The Myer AW 2012 Fashion collections launch was held at the magnificent and newly renovated Mural Hall. For the first time in five years the room with its heritage-listed murals was used to launch the Myer AW fashion collection.

The nature based installation tells story of the harvest. Digital technologies handcrafted stitching combine to create a golden symbolic overgrown wheat field. Hundreds of laser cut brass wheat pieces appliquéd to a fine brass mesh worked on by hand and took in excess of 400 hours to complete.

A room with this provenance only requires minimal treatment, so we created ‘a piece of room jewellery’ rather then a traditional set piece. The intimacy of the room needed a design that was detailed and delicate, an installation that captured the warmth of autumn’s sunny mood and golden light states.

Collaborating with our much loved co-creators: production Rizer, lighting designer Ziggy Ziegler, Stylist Romy Frydman, Choreography Michael Boyd, Dj Graz Mulcahy & Daniel Copping.

Our latest Sportsgirl Installations are based around the Sportsgirl’s national campaign ’Welcome to Now’

At Bourke St Sportsgirl we created a bold map of Sportsgirl’s dream world with an oversized rotating inflatable Sportsgirl globe and created an ocean of coloured platelets that softly flitter around the space.

We suspended domes covered in coloured platelets, maps of the ‘Sportsgirl’ world with reflective geometric shapes tumbling from within. These dream like worlds hover throughout the entrance of Sportsgirl Chadstone…

Signed & Sealed Love Mail at MGPO

Come by Melbourne’s GPO this Valentineʼs Day Level 1, 10am – 4pm. Where typists will type your personal message for you to pass on to your special someone.

For 150 years, Melbourneʼs GPO has held pride of place on the corner of Bourke and Elizabeth Street. The heritage building is one of the city’s most iconic landmarks, evolving from a bustling mail centre to a thriving world-class fashion hub.

To celebrate the remarkable life of this magnificent building, at Gloss Creative we have been collaborating with Fabio Ongarato Design to create an interactive installation dedicated to the many stories and characters housed within Melbourne’s GPO walls. We have flooded MGPO with a cascade of letters, stamps, packages and postcards, capturing and celebrating its rich history.

We have had a wonderful start to the year at Gloss Creative collaborating with Fabio Ongarato Design for Melbourne’s GPO to create the ‘pop up’ Ice Cream Parlour at MGPO partnered with Connoisseur.

If you haven’t been in to MGPO for you’re free ice cream and to see the summer loving cart… now’s your chance 12pm – 3pm daily finishes this Sunday 29th Jan

The Butterfly House

One of our favourite projects this year has been the creation of ‘The Butterfly House’ at the birdcage for MYER. There are so many reasons why we have loved this project

1. We were given the opportunity to work with the wonderful team at Breezeway to create an absolutely stunning facade with architectural glass louvers-Flemington dishes out all kinds of weather yet these beautiful louvers protected us when it rains and let the spring breeze through the marquee

2. The perfect party space was created by the two levels and luxe sunken lounge

3. Melboure’s finest food offerings from Jason Jones(mumasita)

4. Incredible white floral installations from Jeff Latham (more on the wonderful Jeff to follow), assisted by Flowers Vasette

The whimsical countdown has begun at MGPO

We’re in love with Melbourne’s GPO beautiful clock tower and are inspired by the iconic bells held within.

This Christmas we have created a whimsical hanging wonderland, playful girls luxuriously illustrated by Laura Laine are getting ready for Christmas, hanging over scaled bells throughout the halls trying to tie down and capture the time that has escaped from giant clocks. Laura Laine’s illustrations are a continuation of the creative collaboration realised by Fabio Ongarato Design for the Melbourne’s GPO.

The installation is in for all of December and early January be sure to head into the MGPO and experience the wonderland…

The first of the fresh crop FRUCHE

Within the confines of the birdcage we have worked with some of our favourite clients MYER, TABCORP & FRUCHE

Here’s the first in our series of projects for Spring Carnival.

We took inspiration for Fruche from its fun, fresh & fashionable view of the world. A raw wood pavilion soaked in gradients of coral, simple slat ceiling from which hundreds of “yoghurty” dipped flowers made from half a kilometre of flywire, cascaded from the ceiling, down the walls and onto the open sunny balcony.

Together with Style Counsel the Fruche marquee was a big crowd pleaser featuring the incredible Dj Kate Jean, Flamboyant Fruche ambassador J Alexander and gorgeous guests created a buzz all week
